In his new role of Vice President of Technology at Akibia, Michael J. Halperin will work closely with customers, partners, and industry experts to create unique solutions that address today’s data center and IT security challenges.
As Vice President of Technology, Mr. Halperin will ensure Akibia maintains its leadership position in the data center and security space by continuing to develop and deliver new, best-practice based infrastructure solutions that leverage emerging technologies and meet the evolving needs of customers. Mr. Halperin will ensure these solutions address the specific challenges Akibia’s clients face related to data center optimization and support, IT security and compliance. In this role Mr. Halperin will help guide the strategic direction and roadmap of Akibia’s Consulting Services organization.
Mr. Halperin has over twenty years of experience in the IT industry, including expertise in managed services, telecommunications, and operations analysis and implementations. Most recently, as director of Managed Services Product Development at Sprint Nextel, he developed Sprint’s Converged Managed Services strategy and portfolio, and was instrumental in the development of Sprint Nextel’s Managed IP Telephony solution. Prior to Sprint, Mr. Halperin held executive positions at eAssist Global Solutions and Xerox Corporation. Mr. Halperin holds a Bachelor of Science
from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and a Masters in Business Administration from the Katz School at the University of Pittsburgh.
